Emmanuel Ayomide-Praise (Eapgold Travels Limited). A certain individual applied for a Canadian visitor visa, was eventually refused and got a refusal letter. Part of the refusal letter contains these statements “I have reviewed your temporary resident visa (visitor visa) application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the requirements for a visitor visa”, “I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act”, “I am refusing your application”. After refusing the application with some of the statements listed above, the visa officer finally dropped a bombshell…” Your application history indicates that you have a debt to the Crown. Please contact IRCC.FINDTTC-DALCFIN.IRCC@cic.gc.cac for payment prior to submitting a new application. What does this mean? This means that the applicant paid for his visa fee using a stolen credit card! The original owner of the credit card complained to his bank who after investigation found it to be true and then refunded his money. IRCC was then contacted and the bank was reimbursed. Thus, even though the application was now fully submitted (and seemingly paid for), such payment was a fraudulent payment that resulted in a loss to IRCC hence the request to the applicant to “repay” the debt to the crown. My advice to you as an applicant is that you always ensure you use the right agent or consultant who is not unscrupulous and would not use stolen credit cards to pay your visa fees because of lower rates and higher margin of profit. The urge to get higher margins of profit on the visa fee payment is what pushes unscrupulous agents to using stolen credit cards to pay for application fees. Besides, using stolen credit cards is a criminal activity that can get your agent or even you caught and dealt with by law-enforcement agencies! Better still, you can use your own credit or debit card to pay for the application after the agent has prepared all your documents and submitted your application. If you don’t have a dollar debit card, request for one from your bank, fund it and use it to pay for your visa fees since you may not be sure of the authenticity of the card being used by your agent or consultant.
